Around 230 families have already donated to the DFS Family Fundraiser and we are 85% to our goal. Help us reach our goal. Every little bit helps! Please consider donating to our annual Family Fundraiser. 100% of the profit goes directly to benefit all DFS students through both school-wide and grade specific enrichment programs along with other significant classroom and media center expenses.

Kidstuff & SaveAround Coupon Books will be coming home this week. One book will be sent home with the oldest sibling in DFS but you can easily order additional books.

The parent letter will give you all the details needed to purchase the coupon book, order additional books or order the appropriate coupon book for someone who does not live in this area. The letter will also explain how to return unwanted books so we can keep track of all books.

Thanks for supporting Daniel Farm and getting great deals for your family in the process,

If you have any questions please email me at

UPDATE: Calling all volunteers!

Thanks to so many of you who have volunteered to give your time and effort to many of our PTA committees. The school year is already off to a great start!

The PTA is still seeking volunteers to help shadow:

-The Reflections program -- this is the PTA’s national creativity contest. It’s incredible to see the students shine in dance, photography, music, literature, visual arts and film production. And DFS has had students win at the national level the past two years.

-The Celebration of the Arts program -- this is a day in the spring when the students are immersed in the arts almost all day, moving from classroom to classroom to experience everything from theater arts, visual arts and performing arts.

In addition, the One School, One Book program is seeking a co-chair. The entire school will read a book together, and students will have the chance to take part in trivia questions, writing contests and more.

By learning the ropes this year, you’ll be well prepared to take over the event in a future year. If you’re interested in any of the above, please email me at Thanks in advance for your willingness to help and for all that you do for DFS!

carpool 1.jpg

Dear Daniels Farm School Families,

This year we are moving towards changing our car pool pick-up process slightly. We have not found tremendous success with an assigned number, so instead, we are asking all car pool families to simply write their names, printed legibly, in capital letters, on a letter-sized paper or cardboard, and place in the dashboard window, instead of the number.

As of tomorrow, we will no longer be using the number system!

Thank you!
